When almost all the visitors of the plantation left and silence took over, this shy Carolina Wren decided to sing.

I stood under the branch as quietly as I could, marveling at the twinkle in her eyes and noticing the subtle movement in her throat each time she made a call.

And seven minutes passed in what felt like one single, intact moment of being present, completely. Was I observing the Wren? Was I observing myself? 🙂
